Wood2Wood project will participate in a workshop organised by ISWA on behalf of iBot4CRMs project on “Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing” scheduled to take place at the European Robotics Forum in Stavanger, Norway on March 25 at 11.20 am.
In the workshop (WS 58) titled “Rewriting the playbook for smart sustainable manufacturing in Europe”, industry, policymakers, researchers will come together to co-create strategies in an interactive session that could support European industrial resilience and competitiveness.
Workshop details below:

Workshop number: 58
📅 March 25 | 11:20–12:40
📍 Room Lysefjorden B, European Robotics Forum 2026 — Stavanger, Norway
🔖 Workshop 58 — add it to your ERF schedule!
This workshop will examine how European policies, industry needs, and circular economy goals intersect to shape a smarter, more sustainable production landscape in a rapidly changing geopolitical context. The workshop is being coordinated and supported by the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), iBot4CRMs project, NORCE Research, PROFACTOR and Three Robotics.
Our keynote speaker is Ms Cecile Huet, Head of Unit, AI office, European Commission.

Part of the AI Office at the European Commission, this unit supports beneficial robotics and AI development within Europe.
The keynote will outline current EU policies and priority areas, setting the stage for exploring how AI, Data, Robotics (ADR) and digital innovation are driving Sustainable Manufacturing across Europe.
From Wood2Wood project, Fotios Konstantinidis, Division lead in industry 5.0 and Smart Manufacturing at ICCS-I-Sense-Group, will highlight a variety of topics from smart collection and robotic sorting lines to multi-sensor and AI-driven systems for accurate waste classification and control.
From PROFACTOR, Christian Wogerer will focus on current developments, challenges and future pathways in industrial innovation in Europe. And from Tecnalia, Damiel Salle, will provide context on the need for circularity in Europe, look at the normative context and how robotics can contribute!
We look forward to seeing you there!
