
Wood2Wood project will participate in a workshop on “Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing” scheduled to take place at the European Robotics Forum in Stavanger, Norway on March 25 at 11.10 am.
In the workshop (WS 58) titled “Rewriting the playbook for smart sustainable manufacturing in Europe”, industry, policymakers, researchers will come together to co-create strategies in an interactive session that could support European industrial resilience and competitiveness.

This workshop will examine how European policies, industry needs, and circular economy goals intersect to shape a smarter, more sustainable production landscape in a rapidly changing geopolitical context. The workshop is being coordinated and supported by the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), iBot4CRMs project, NORCE Research, PROFACTOR and Three Robotics.
From Wood2Wood project, Fotios Konstantinidis, Division lead in industry 5.0 and Smart Manufacturing at ICCS-I-Sense-Group, will highlight a variety of topics from smart collection and robotic sorting lines to multi-sensor and AI-driven systems for accurate waste classification and control.
From PROFACTOR, Christian Wogerer will focus on current developments, challenges and future pathways in industrial innovation in Europe.

A third speaker will be announced soon. So, expect a lively discussion between domain experts from the industry, research and innovation community and public sector at the European Robotics Forum this year.
