EU-funded Wood2Wood project will be conducting a knowledge exchange workshop on “Recovering Value from Secondary Raw Materials” with three other EU-funded projects in Ecomondo 2025 in Rimini, Italy between 4-7 November.
The workshop will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 10:00-13:00 pm CET in Camelia Room near Hall B6 inside the exhibition.
The title of the workshop is “Driving the Circular Transition in the EU: Recovering Value from Secondary Raw Materials”.

The objective is to discuss and disseminate project outcomes that advance circularity ambitions of the European Union by way of increasing secondary raw materials availability and uptake by value chain actors and identify future collaboration opportunities.
Here are the participating projects:

Wood2Wood Project: Transform unused wood waste from construction, demolition, and furniture into valuable products. To do this, W2W proposes a comprehensive framework for multi-dimensional cascade valorisation of wood from C&D and furniture waste, consisting of four core components/pillars: 1) Advanced Separation and Sorting Technologies; 2) Upcycling Processes and Technologies; 3) Digital Tools for Improving Circular Flows of Secondary Materials; and 4) Supportive Framework in Policy, Market, and Skills
ReBoat Project: Circular Solution for Sustainable Tourism in EU Islands by Movable Plant and Co-Creation with Island Stakeholders
EcoRefibre Project: EcoReFibre develops optimised and efficient state-of-the-art solutions to extract fibres from waste wood, ultimately increasing available wood resources in Europe through recycling.
CIRCULess Project: Upcycling mineral and timber-based waste from construction and manufacturing process industries through eco-design, advanced logistics, quality control and digital solutions.
Bio4EEB project: It aims to uplift the generic bio-based material use and qualify their application with a circular economy approach for creating a much greener EU building industry.
